According to data released by Japan’s Ministry of Finance, Japan imported 15,532 tons of stainless steel products in March, rising by 4.2% from a month ago.
Meanwhile, the import prices averaged at US$3,086.79/ton, decreasing by 1.3% month on month.
In March, Korea was the largest exporter of stainless steel products to Japan with 11,939 tons, down by 0.3%; Taiwan was the second largest one with 1,425 tons, increasing by 23.3% and China was the third largest one with 1,118 tons, jumping by 76.9%, all compared to those in a month ago.
