[Ferro-Alloys.com]Tom A. Millensifer, Executive Vice President of Powmet (Rockford, IL) has retired, effective Apr. 30. Millensifer, a leading expert on rhenium and molybdenum processing and marketing, has spent 55 years in the industry and educated several generations on the chemical applications for both commodities through his contributions to numerous trade publications, his presentations at industry conferences and his willingness to be interviewed. “Being associated with Tom over the years has been a major learning experience and a most enjoyable ride,” said Bill Thiede, President of Powmet.” Millensifer will remain associated with Powmet as a consultant. He also will continue his ownership role in AAA Molybdenum Products of Broomfield, CO. Brian Thiede, Powmet VP, will assume responsibility for marketing rhenium and moly.
