【Ferro-alloys.com】Worldsteel: Global crude steel output falls in Nov y-o-y
According to statistics from the World Steel Association (worldsteel), global crude steel output totaled around 143 million tons in November, sliding by nearly 10% compared to the same month a year ago.
Among them, the output in Asia was around 98 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 15.5%; that in the EU’s 27 countries was nearly 13 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 3.7%; that in Turkey was 3.4 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 6.1%; that in the CIS countries was 8.8 million tons, a year-on-year hike of 5.8%; that in Russia was 6.5 million tons, a year-on-year growth of 9.4%; that in North America was 9.7 million tons, a year-on-year hike of 9.3%; that in South America was nearly 4.0 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 3.5%; that in Africa was 1.5 million tons, a year-on-year hike of 37.4%; that in the Middle East was 3.8 million tons, a year-on-year reduction of 5.3%.
In the first 11 months of this year, global crude steel output amounted to 1.75 billion tons, rising by 4.5% from the same period a year earlier.
