China's raw coal output increased 4 percent year-on-year to 360 million tons last month, data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) showed Monday.
The October output represented 5.5-percent growth from the same period in 2019, the NBS said.
The country imported 26.94 million tons of coal in October, up 96.2 percent year-on-year.
In the January-October period, China produced 3.3 billion tons of raw coal, up 4 percent year-on-year, or up 4.1 percent from the same period in 2019.
In the past 10 months, China imported 257.34 million tons of coal, up 1.9 percent year-on-year.
