Japan ferrosilicon (>55%) imports increase 15.08% YoY in June 2021

According to data of Trade Statistics of Japan, in June 2021, Japan imported 37139.112 tons of ferrosilicon (containing by weight > 55% of silicon), with a year-on-year increase of 15.08%. Among them, 13024.658 tons were imported from Russia, accounting for 35.07%; 11809.087 tons were imported from China, accounting for 31.80%.

 

In Jan-Jun 2021, Japan imported 197434.878 tons of ferrosilicon (containing by weight > 55% of silicon), with a year-on-year increase of 4.53%. Among them, 70640.771 tons were imported from Russia, accounting for 35.78%; 63220.842 tons were imported from China, accounting for 32.02%.
