JSW Steel’s crude steel production up 62% yoy to 4.93 MT

Steelmaker JSW Steel NSE 0.14 % on Friday reported a 62% year-on-year jump in crude steel production for the first quarter of the fiscal year at 4.93 million tonnes. 

 

“JSW Group’s combined crude steel production was at 5.07 million tonnes, registering a growth of 65% y-o-y, including the production jointly controlled entities viz Bhushan Power and Steel Ltd and JSW Ispat Special Products Ltd,” the company said in a statement. 

 

The crude steel production during the previous quarter was around 4.37 million tonnes. 

 

The company’s newly acqui and Steel reported production of 0.69 million tonnes in Q1 of FY 22.
