According to a report issued by India's Jindal stainless steel (Hisar) Co., Ltd. (JSHL), in the first three quarters of the fiscal year 2020 / 2021 (April to December 2020), its stainless steel sales totaled 394157 tons, with a year-on-year increase of 22% and 23% respectively in the third quarter to 191272 tons (among which, domestic sales increased by 3 percentage points to 92%) and a year-on-year decrease of 11% to 5%. The gross operating profit decreased by about 7% to 6.39 billion rupees on a year-on-year basis, with an increase of 67% and 41.5% to 3.51 billion rupees on a year-on-year basis. The after tax profit increased by about 12% to 2.52 billion rupees on a year-on-year basis, with an increase of 217% and 70.8% to 1.9 billion rupees on a year-on-year basis.
In terms of consolidated results, net sales in the first three quarters decreased by about 12% year-on-year to 62.97 billion rupees, with a year-on-year increase of 27% and 36.9% to 31.47 billion rupees in the third quarter respectively; gross operating profit decreased by about 4% year-on-year to 7.21 billion rupees, with a year-on-year increase of 76% to 3.87 billion rupees in the third quarter; after tax profit increased by about 21% to 3.44 billion rupees, with a year-on-year increase of 237% in the third quarter respectively And 60.1% to 2.7 billion rupees.
