  Korean POSCO has jointly developed a new technology to replace traditional copper pipes with high-quality high carbon stainless steel (PossFD) for existing air conditioning pipes. POSCO's stainless steel marketing department said publicly that its steel solutions Institute began to cooperate with Daechun and ever Park Corporation, which are specialized in shipbuilding and marine equipment, in March last year. After one year's joint research and development, POSCO has obtained the new excellent technology (NET) license from Korea Technical Standards Agency.

  Korean POSCO explained that the high carbon stainless steel tube technology for refrigerants licensed by the state authorities integrates POSCO's high-quality steel, Daechun's pipe and hot working technology and Ever Tech Corporation's seamless welded hook joint. POSCO said that POSCO's stainless steel refrigerant pipe has high corrosion resistance, which can replace the copper pipe commonly used in the existing air conditioning pipe.
