[ferro-alloys.com]FED decided to remain its low interest rate last week. It encouraged U.S market. The index of U.S dollar went up. Relatively, LME nickel price dropped down. By the end of trading, LME nickel was quoted at 14855 USD/T. It dropped down by 245 USD/T. The stainless-steel market was in downturn, and ferronickel supply was sufficient. The demand for future nickel was insufficient. So, the price of future nickel went down in domestic market. Compared with Shanghai future nickel 2010 contract, the discount of Russian nickel was 450-550 RMB/T, and the premium of Jinchuan nickel was 1450-1550 RMB/T. Jinchuan quoted its electrolytic nickel at 117500 RMB/T. It was 800 USD/T lower than the price on last trading day.

The stainless-steel market was relatively stable today. So, the ferronickel price was steady today. In Jiangsu, Shandong Provinces, the high-grade ferronickel price reached 1165 RMB/T at most. In Inner Mongolia and Liaoning Province, the price was 1155-1165 RMB/Nickel. The low-grade ferronickel price remained at 3300-3450 RMB/T.
