[Ferro-Alloys.com] Mongolia exported a total of 34.8 million tons of coal in the first 11 months of this year, the Mongolian Customs General Administration (MCGA) said Tuesday.
The figure was an increase of 4.2 percent from the same period last year, the MCGA said in a statement.
Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa on Tuesday rejected to give any type of compensation to energy companies after the closure of the two coal power plants in 2021, Portuguese Lusa News Agency reported.
The prime minister made the remarks in a biweekly debate at the parliament house, when he was asked by a parliament member about the future of workers of the coal-fired power plants.

Anthony Albanese, leader of the Australian Labor Party, on Monday said that Australia should prioritize lowering emissions through but not by stopping coal exports.
