It is learned that, the cored wire market in this week is still sluggish on the whole which the demand for various cored wires is difficult to increase. The downstream demand volume of nodularizer cored wire is still low which the manufacturers’ delivery is not optimistic and inquiry from new customers is scarce. Downstream purchase of silicon calcium cored wire is still dominated by orders from regular steel mills and there are few inquiries from new customers. The demand for and delivery of solid pure calcium cored wire is relatively steady. Most of the orders for solid pure calcium cored wire are mainly for regular customers and the transaction rhythm has slowed down. The market situation of carbon cored wire is stable recently with ordinary demand volume. Delivery of the manufacturers is still mainly for regular steel mills. The price has been stable since slight reduction at the end of October. The recent price of ferrotitanium is stable with no significant adjustment of manufacturers’ offers. The downstream demand is dominated by low ferrotitanium cored wire. The price of ferrotitanium, the raw material, operates weakly and stably. The market situation of seamless metal calcium cored wire is relatively stable with stable order quantity from downstream steel mills and normal production and delivery of the manufacturers.
There is no obvious price fluctuation in other cored wire products yet. Now, the mainstream transaction price of silicon calcium cored wire Ca30Si58∮13mm is 10,500-11,000 yuan per ton, Ca28Si50∮13mm is 7,850-8,500 yuan per ton, Ca28Si55∮13mm is 9,700-10,000 yuan per ton and Ca30Si60∮13mm is 10,500-11,000 yuan per ton; solid pure calcium cored wire Ca98%min∮9mm is 10,000 - 10,500 yuan per ton; silicon magnesium cored wire Si40Mg28Re2∮13mm is 11,500-12,500 yuan per ton; ferro calcium cored wire Ca30∮13mm is 8,600-8,800 yuan per ton and Ca30∮30mm is 10,000-10,500 yuan per ton; ferrotitanium cored wire Ti30%min∮13mm is 11,500 - 11,800 yuan per ton; sulphur cored wire S98%∮13mm is 6,500-6,800 yuan per ton; ferroboron cored wire B17%∮13mm is 18,500-19,000 yuan per ton; seamless metal calcium cored wire Ca98%min∮9mm is 10,000-11,000 yuan per ton and Ca98%min∮10mm is 15,000-16,000 yuan per ton; carbon cored wire C96%∮13mm is 5,900-6,200 yuan per ton, C97%∮13mm is 5,800-6,100 yuan per ton and C98%∮13mm is 5,800-6,100 yuan per ton; nodularizer cored wire still remains at 10,500-10,800 yuan per ton.
In terms of raw materials, the price of cold rolled strip steel, the raw material of cored wire rose continuously recently after being stable for nearly one month by 130 to 150 yuan per ton or so. Now, the mainstream transaction price of Q195 0.35*55 rose from 4,400-4,420 yuan per ton to 4,530-4,550 yuan per ton, Q195 0.4 *55 and Q195 0.45 *55 rose from 4,350-4,370 yuan per ton to 4,480-4,500 yuan per ton, SPCC0.35-0.39*55 rose from 4,450-4,470 yuan per ton to 4,580-4,600 yuan per ton, SPCC 0.4 *55 and SPCC 0.45 *55 rose from 4,400-4,420 yuan per ton to 4,530-4,550 yuan per ton. It is estimated that it will also fluctuate soon after. There is no obvious price fluctuation in other raw materials. Now, Ferroboron FeB19C0.1 is 20,000-22,000 yuan per ton, FeB18C0.5 is 18,000-18,200 yuan per ton, FeB17C0.5 is 17,500-17,800 yuan per ton and FeB16C0.5 is 16,500-17,000 yuan per ton; silicocalcium Ca28Si50 is 9,300-9,500 yuan per ton, Ca28Si55 is 10,000-10,500 yuan per ton, Ca28Si60 is 10,600-10,800 yuan per ton, Ca30Si55 is 10,500-10,700 yuan per ton, Ca30Si56 is 10,000-10,200 yuan per ton, Ca30Si60 is 10,800-11,500 yuan per ton; rare earth magnesium silicon is 7,000-7,500 yuan per ton; metal calcium wire (Ca≥97%, Φ: 7-7.5mm) is 18,000-22,000 yuan per ton; metal calcium particle (Ca≥98.5%, Φ: 0-2.5mm) is 21,000 -23,000 yuan per ton, metal crude calcium (Ca≥98.5%, particle size: 0-2.5mm) is 18,500-21,000 yuan per ton.
The export transaction price of calcium silicon cored wire ca30si60∮13mm is 1,550 to 1,630 US dollars per ton. Calcium silicon cored wire ca28si55∮13mm is 1,530 to 1,600 US dollars per ton. Bite type solid core pure calcium core wire ca98%min∮9mm is 1,670 to 1,750 US dollars per ton. Pure calcium cored wire Ca30 ∮13mm is 1,350 to 1,400 US dollars per ton. There is no adjustment comparing with the last month (FOB price, Tianjin Port).
Because the market demand of cored wire continues to be sluggish and the price of cold rolled strip steel rebounds strongly recently, the profit margin of the cored wire manufacturers has further reduced and the later market is not prospective.
