In the middle of this month, the cored wire market was still stable on the whole, of which the demand for silicon calcium cored wire, seamless metal calcium cored wire, solid pure calcium cored wire and other products remained stable. As the downstream steel mills recovered production in succession, the capacity increased and the demand for carbon cored wire increased accordingly. As operation rate of downstream foundry works increased, the demand for nodularizer cored wire rose steadily. Some nodularizer cored wire manufacturers received more orders obviously.

In the late of this month, as the late autumn is coming, it is getting cold in northern area and the weather is not so good. In order to guarantee air quality and prevent haze as much as possible, the environmental protection departments in various areas have strengthened inspection again, from which operation of many cored wire manufacturers are impacted. However, with the increase of capacity of downstream steel mills, the demand for cored wire increased slightly. The demand for silicon calcium cored wire, seamless metal calcium cored wire, solid pure calcium cored wire and ferrotitanium cored is stable and that for carbon cored wire rose steadily. Even that for nodularizer which has been sluggish for several months is getting better because the operation rate of downstream foundry works is stable. Some nodularizer cored wire manufacturers received more orders. All the prices of raw materials such as silicocalcium, metal calcium wire, metal calcium particle, ferrotitanium alloy and rear earth magnesium silicon have been stable. The price of cold rolled strip steel which has been in the downward trend for consecutive months dropped little this week. For this reason, the cored wire market is still calm and has no big price fluctuation yet.

At the end of this month, the prices of some cored wire products fluctuated. The prices of silicon calcium cored wire and carbon dropped slightly, while that of ferrocalcium cored wire and nodularizer cored wire rose slightly, but the cored wire market still remains stable on the whole. At present, the mainstream transaction price of silicon calcium cored wire Ca28Si50∮13mm is 8,500-9,000 yuan per ton, Ca28Si55∮13mm is 10,000-10,500 yuan per ton, Ca30Si58∮13mm is 10,500-11,000 yuan per ton, and Ca30Si60∮13mm is 10,500-11,000 yuan per ton; solid pure calcium cored wire Ca98%min∮9mm is 10,000-10,500 yuan per ton; ferrotitanium cored wire Ti30%min∮13mm is 11,500-11,800 yuan per ton; silicon magnesium cored wire Si40Mg28Re2∮13mm is 11,500-12,500 yuan per ton; ferro calcium cored wire Ca30∮13mm rose from 8,300 yuan per ton to 8,600-8,800 yuan per ton and Ca30∮30mm rose from 9,500 yuan per ton to 10,000-10,500 yuan per ton; sulphur cored wire S98%∮13mm is 6,500-6,800 yuan per ton; ferroboron cored wire B17%∮13mm is 18,500-19,000 yuan per ton; seamless metal calcium cored wire Ca98%min∮9mm is 10,200-11,200 yuan per ton and Ca98%min∮10mm is 15,200-16,200 yuan per ton; carbon cored wire C96%∮13mm is 5,900-6,200 yuan per ton, C97%∮13mm is 5,800-6,100 yuan per ton and C98%∮13mm is 5,800-6,100 yuan per ton; nodularizer cored wire is 10,500-10,800 yuan per ton.

The export transaction price of calcium silicon cored wire ca30si60∮13mm is 1,550 to 1,630 US dollars per ton. Calcium silicon cored wire ca28si55∮13mm is 1,530 to 1,600 US dollars per ton. Bite type solid core pure calcium core wire ca98%min∮9mm is 1,670 to 1,750 US dollars per ton. Pure calcium cored wire Ca30 ∮13mm is 1,350 to 1,400 US dollars per ton. There is no adjustment comparing with the last month (FOB price, Tianjin Port).

The prices of of raw materials remains stable except the price of calcium-silicon dropped and that of cold rolled strip steel dropped slightly in the middle and late of this month. At present calcium-silicon Ca28Si50 is 9,300-9,500 yuan per ton, Ca28Si55 is 10,000-10,500 yuan per ton,Ca28Si60 is 10,600-10,800 yuan per ton, Ca30Si55 is 10,500-10,700 yuan per ton, Ca30Si60 is 10,800-11,500 yuan per ton; cold rolled strip steel Q195 0.35*55 is 4,380-4,400 yuan per ton, Q195 0.4 *55 and Q195 0.45 *55 is 4,330-4,350 yuan per ton, SPCC0.35-0.39*55 is 4,430-4,450 yuan per ton, SPCC 0.4 *55 and SPCC 0.45 *55 is 4,380-4,400 yuan per ton. There is no price fluctuation in other raw materials. Ferroboron FeB19C0.1 is 20,000-22,000 yuan per ton, FeB18C0.5 is 18,000-18,200 yuan per ton, FeB17C0.5 is 17,500-17,800 yuan per ton, FeB16C0.5 is 16,500-17,000 yuan per ton; metal calcium wire (Ca≥97%，Φ：7-7.5mm) is 18,000-22,000 yuan per ton; metal crude calcium is (Ca≥98.5%, particle size: 0-2.5mm) is 18,500-21,000 yuan per ton.

As the heating season is coming, in order to prevent air pollution and reduce haze as much as possible, in northern area especially Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and its surrounding areas, the measures such as limited production, shifting production and even suspended production will be taken according to the air condition like in previous years. In this way, the operation rate of downstream steel mills will decrease, and the demand for core wires will decrease accordingly. South area will be less affected by environmental protection and the demand is likely to pick up.
