[Ferro-Alloys.com] Export prices for Chinese cold-rolled coil and hot-dipped galvanized coil fell over the week to September 24 amid limited negotiations ahead of the October 1-7 Golden Week holiday in China.

Ongoing steelmaking restrictions continued to support prices for hot-rolled coil in China on Tuesday September 24.

The growth of China's raw coal production slowed down in August, data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) showed.

 

Around 320 million tonnes of raw coal was produced last month, up 5 percent year on year, compared with the 12.2-percent rise in July, according to the NBS.

 

Rebar prices in Russia’s major steel-consuming region - the Central Federal District around Moscow - fell again this week on weakening demand from end users.

 

China Taiyuan coal transaction price index stood at 135.6 points on Monday, up 0.04 percent week on week.

 

The index, released by China Taiyuan Coal Transaction Center (CTCTC) based in Shanxi, a coal-rich province, reflects the coal price levels and changes in the main production areas of China. It is published every Monday.
