By the end of trading, LME nickel was quoted at 14650 USD/T on last Friday. It was 295 USD/T lower than the price on last Thursday. Due to declining of LME nickel price, the price of future nickel dropped down largely today. The trading volume was less. Compared with Shanghai future nickel 1908 contract,the discount of Russian nickel was 300-350 RMB/T, and the premium of Jinchuan nickel was 1300-1500 RMB/T. Today,Jinchuan quoted its electrolytic nickel at 116000 RMB/T, it was 2500 RMB/T lower than the price on last Friday.

Today, the Ministry of Commerce announced that China would impose anti-dumpling duties on imported stainless steel. It was a good news for domestic stainless steel firms. The prices of some products rose up. However, LME nickel price dropped down. The prices of nickel series products could not rise up sharply. The ferronickel market was stable today. The mainstream price of high grade ferronickel was 1050-1070 RMB/Nickel, and the price of low grade ferronickel remained at 3050-3250 RMB/T.
