[Fellow]UEX cuts 0.55% cobalt, 1.39% nickel at West Bear

[ferro-alloys.com]Saskatoon-based UEX Corporation has received the assays of the final 24 holes of the winter drill program at its West Bear cobalt-nickel property in the eastern Athabasca Basin.

Highlights from the recent results include hole WBC-143, which intersected 8.3 metres averaging 0.33% cobalt and 0.75% nickel from 55.5 to 63.8 metres, including 0.55% cobalt and 1.39% nickel over 4.0 metres from 55.5 to 59.5 metres. UEX noted that 19 of the final 24 holes returned composite cobalt equivalent grades better than the cut-off grade at 0.023%.

The winter drill program enabled the company to expand the West Bear deposit along strike to the west and down dip to the southeast. The mineralization currently has a strike length of over 600 metres and a dip length of over 100 metres.

UEX puts the West Bear inferred resources at 390,000 tonnes grading 0.37% cobalt and 0.22% nickel for 3.2 million lb. of cobalt and 1.9 million lb of nickel.
