Vale’s Output of Manganese Ore Increased

[Ferro-Alloys.com] Vale’s output of manganese ore also increased to 629,000 in the third quarter (497,000 mt at Azul, 86,000 mt at Urucum and 46,000 mt its other Brazilian mines) vs. 584,000 mt (584,000 mt at Azul, 81,000 mt at Urucum and 39,000 mt at other mines) in the second quarter.
 
Production at Morro da Mina, part of Vale’s other mines, saw its output increase 16.2% over the second quarter recovering partially from the ongoing waste removal efforts.
