Dependability of newer coal power addressed
The dependability of "high proficiency low-emissions" coal fired power plants is being addressed, with another report discovering they separate more frequently per gigawatt than more seasoned generators.
Australia's most up to date coal control station, the 12-year-old Kogan Creek Power Station in Queensland, separated multiple times a year ago, the Australia Institute found.
"These new supercritical coal plants are touted by advocates as 'high effectiveness, low emanations' coal plants, however this couldn't possibly be more off-base ... they are a larger number of emanations escalated~ sustainable sustainable source and even gas ," the Australia Institute's Richie Merzian said.
