Under supply side reform for steel, the past 2018 is the smoothest and the most profitable year for China’s steel industry. On the council conference (enlarged) of China Iron & Steel Association 2019, Yu Yong, the president of China Iron & Steel Association, secretary of the party committee and president of Hesteel Group Co., Ltd., mentioned that in the first 11 months, the steel enterprises of CISA achieved 3.76 trillion yuan of sales revenue, up 14.17 percent year-on-year, 414.9 billion yuan of taxation of profit, up 50.14 percent year-on-year, 280.2 billion yuan of total amount of profit, up 63.54 percent and 7.45 percent of profit ratio of sales, which reached the average level of industry.

The listed steel enterprises have published 2018 annual preliminary results in succession. The net profit of Hesteel Steel Company Limited (000709) is estimated achieve 3.45 to 3.7 billion yuan up 89.87 percent to 103.63 percent year-on-year. The net profit of JISCO Hongxing (600307) is estimated to achieve approximately 1.08 billion yuan, up 156.43% year-on-year.

Jianlong Steel achieved 28 million tons of output, 120 billion yuan of sales revenue, 7 billion yuan of taxation and 10 billion yuan of profit. Its output ranks 5^th place at home and 9^th place internationally. Anshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. (000898) a listed company under Anshan Steel Group, published preliminary results that the total amount of profit for January to December 2018 would achieve 10 billion yuan, up 58.4 percent year-on-year, the net profit for the stockholders of the listed company would be 7.8 billion yuan, up 17.51 percent year-on-year. Baosteel will probably break through 20 billion yuan of annual net profit for 2018 and its performance will hit a record high.
