Steel Production rise and fall in different countries in August
In August, the United States output of steel increased by 5.1 percent to 7.5 million tons year-over-year. Sixty-four steel producing countries in the world have international steel production rose by 2.6 percent to 151.7 million tons as compared to August last year. In August, China regarded for more than half the world’s steel output, creating 80.3 million tons i.e. 2.7 percent more than the similar month, the previous year, reported by the World Steel Association (WSA).
In South Korea, production continued stable at 6.1 million tons, consisted from the last month.
According to the Brussels, Belgium-based trade association, in Japan steel output increased by 0.9 percent to 8.8 million tons, in India it rose by 8.8 million tons i.e. 3.7 percent, by 6.6 percent to 1.2 million tons in Spain and rose by 6 percent to 1.2 million tons in Italy in the month of August.
In France, Turkey and Ukraine, the steel output faced a downfall by 16.8 percent to 900,000 tons, by 5.7 percent to 3 million tons and by 3.7 percent to 1.8 million tons.
