The 0.02 millimeters thickness and 600 millimeters width stainless steel is also called “Easy-Tearing Steel”. The steel whose thickness is only the same as a quarter A4 paper thickness could be easily torn by the workers.

It’s another self-developped products that could replace import products by Taiyuan Iron & Steel after nib steel was generated in 2017. Wangtianxiang, the manager and secretary of the party committee of Tisco Precision Strip Steel, said that the 0.02mm Easy-Tearing Steel is the thinnest stainless steel among all the large steel enterprises in China. Due to the difficulties of technical control, it used to be monopolized by German, Japan in a long period.

Liaoxi, the inspection section manager in Tisco Precision Strip Steel ，said that the range of precision strip stainless steel size was between 0.05 millimeters and 0.5 millimeters, the strip that was under 0.05 millimeters was called stainless steel foils. At present, most of them are 0.05mm soft stainless steel. The developped 0.02mm stainless steels is a leading product which is higher than the industrial standards. It is mainly used in aerospace, petrochemical industry, automobile, electronic engineering, home appliances, computers and other fields.
