[ferro-alloys.com]Encouraged by good German economic performance, Euro went up strongly.Relatively, the U.S dollor went down. So, the price of LME nickel start rising. Yesterday,the LME nickel was quoted at 13600 USD/T by the end of trading. It was 225 USD/T higher than the price on last trading day. In the morning, affected by the rising of LME nickel and weakness of U.S dollor, the prices of future nickel in all contracts rose up largely. Compared to Wuxi 1808 contract, the premium of Russian nickel was 50RMB/T, and the premium of Jinchuan nickel was 1050RMB/T. Today, Jinchuan quoted its electrolytic nickel (big board) at 111800RMB/T. It was 1400RMB/T higher than the price yesterday.

Encouraged by the rising of LME nickel and auti-dumping investigation applied by Taiyuan Iron and Steel Co, the prices of stainless steel products rose up. Meanwhile, the price of high grade ferronickel went up, too. However, the stainless steel mainly used steel scrap for production. The ferronickel could not rise up largely. Today, the price of high grade ferronickel was 1070-1085RMB/Nickle, and the low grade ferronickel was quoted at 3400-3500RMB/T.
