[ferro-alloys.com]Yesterday, the base metal prices including nickel price reached to the lowest level and started rising in London Metal Exchange. By the end of trading, the LME nickel price was 13665USD/T. It was 120USD/T higher than the price on last trading day. Today, influenced by the LME nickel price trend, the prices of future nickel in all contracts started rising. Compared to Wuxi 1808 contract, the premium of Russian nickel was 100RMB/T, and the premium of Jinchuan nickel was 1000RMB/T. Today,Jinchuan quoted its electrolytic nickel (big board) at 110500RMB/T.

At present, it is the slack season of stainless steel. Both the demand level and supply level are not in high level. Parts of stainless steel plants halted their productions due to overhaul other reasons.Because of environmental protection inspection, the ferronickel plant needed some time to resume their productions. So, the price of ferronickel kept steady. Today, the price of high grade ferronickel was 1065-1080RMB/Nickel, and the low grade ferronickel was quoted at 3400-3500RMB/T.
