[ferro-alloys.com] Price of international vanadium continues to rise, of which, price of ferro-vanadium ≥78% rose to 68-71 USD/kg from 64.8 to 67 USD/kg, converting into Chinese price of ferro-vanadium 50% 215,000 to 224,700 RMB/mt; vanadium pentoxide 98% price rose to 14.5-14.8 USD/LB from 14-14.5 USD/LB, converting into Chinese price of vanadium pentoxide flake 98% 198,000 to 202,000 RMB/mt. American ferro-vanadium 80% price rose to 32-33.5 USD/LB from 29.75-30.4 USD/LB . International vanadium prices, especially ferro-vanadium price, are obviously higher than Chinese vanadium price.

At the beginning of this week, domestic vanadium price continues to the rise status of last week, currently , price of vanadium pentoxide flake is mainly stable, and prices of ferro-vanadium and vanadium-nitrogen alloy rise, main offer of ferro-vanadium 50% rises to 195,000 to 205,000 RMB/mt (cash-acceptance) from 190,000 to 200,000 RMB/mt (cash-acceptance); main offer of vanadium-nitrogen alloy rises to 295,000 to 305,000 RMB/mt (cash-acceptance) from 290,000 to 300,000 RMB/mt (cash-acceptance). Spot goods in vanadium market are not much, vanadium pentoxide flake of Jianlong, ferro-vanadium and vanadium-nitrogen alloy of Hebei Steel and Ansteel are basically provided to their regular customers. Demand for ammonium metavanadate is obviously increased, and its spot goods is in shortage, so the enterprises owing goods are reluctant to sell, with a stronger emotion of waiting a higher price; currently, main offer of ammonium metavanadate 98% rises to 172,000 to 175,000 RMB/mt, and main offer of vanadium pentoxide powder 98% rises to 186,000 to 190,000 RMB/mt. Recently, there are more inquiries from the downstream, especially the traders’ preparing goods is more active. Part of enterprises who owns goods is waiting for higher price; there are also enterprises that actively sell goods to lock the profit, but they will not sell goods at too low price. Actual concluded price in the market is promoted, and it is expected that the price of tender of steel mill is hopeful to follow.
