Ferro-Alloys.com Breaking News: Qingshan SSteel confirmed the tender price for Ferro chrome High Carbon at RMB7096/Mt based on 50% cr content, if cargo delivered from Port to their plant, price should be RMB6936/Mt ;Baosteel also got RMB7100/mt delivery to their warehoue against Cash payment at sight ;That price confirmed by steel plants are RMB800/Mt (50 cr basis) declined compareed to last month. All cargo must be delivered to their plant in Dec, 2017.

Why the price sharly decreaed about usd123/mt (cr 50% basis ) ,what is the influence to Chrome ore price ? Ferro-alloys.com called some major Cr ore suppliers and FeCr producers today. one big supplier of Cr ore said, Cr ore price will go down further and they are not postive the market, many Chrome ore suppliers and over supply to the market; However, the demands for Fecr from SSteel also reduced,

some SSteel converted to produce carbon steel from ssteel production, and therefore cut down the demands for FeCr ,Said by one Fecr plant in Inner mongolia.and they also said price will go down further below RMB6000/mt,

Comparing Fecr price RMB7096/mt delivered to the plant of steel, deducted land transportation , the net cost will be RBM6846/mt exw (50Cr basis), which it equals to usd0.77/mt cif Chinese port. if FeCr imported from India, South Africa, or other countries over that level, no consumers are able to buy, traders are completely no margo ,no room to survive.

in Conclusion and outlook, due to weak demands from ssteel, and over supply of FeCr , price of FeCr will drop further in Jan and Feb according to over supply situation. and therefore, Cr ore spot price drop is not the occasion and this trend will last to next March.
