According to statistics released by Japan's Ministry of Finance, Japan's ferroally imports totaled 142,480 metric tons in April this year, rising by 14.9 percent month on month and down six percent compared to April 2011.
Meanwhile, in the first four months of of 2012, Japan's ferroally imports amounted to 519,992 metric tons, decreasing by 8.2 percent year on year.
In the first four months of the current year, Japan's ferroally imports from South Africa fell by 5.2 percent compared to the same period last year to 115,617 metric tons, while Kazakhstan exported 102,799 mt of ferroalloy to Japan in the first four months of this year, rising 1.5 percent year on year.
