[Ferro-Alloys.com] Reportedly, the Ferro alloys market price has been up steadily, the demand of Ca cored wires has continued to expand. The materials cost price rise and the increasing market consumption will probably promote the price rise of the metal calcium products.

“In Aprial, the sales volume of seamless Ca cored wires is 300 mt, now there is no inventory.” A source from Gongyi Jinliang Metallurgy Refractories Co., Ltd. told www.ferro-alloys.com.

Taiyuan Ruitao Metal Materials Co.,Ltd is engaged in producing metal calcium products that are mainly exported to overseas market. According to the representative of the company, the sales performance in April is excellent without inventory pressure. The sales volume of calcium wires, reduced calcium tablets, AlCa alloys and Ca cored wires is amount to 500mt. It is learned that the domestic utilization of calcium wires has been up recently.

“Currently the monthly production of reduced calcium is 500 mt. The demand of high pure calcium is relatively few, thus its production has been increased.” A source from Linzhou Hongrui Gaiye Jituan told us.

According to many sources, the materials cost of reduced calcium has up to RMB12, 500 mt.  It is estimated that the price of calcium will rise further in that the raw material factory in some areas will take joint measures to limit production and that the market demand has expanded.
