[Ferro-Alloys.com] Recently,Hongwang Group officials noted that the Shandong project has been preparing intensively and will begain testing in early December, after that the programme will be put into production at year-end with the assistant and cooperate from Zhaoqing side.

The Shandong project, with a capacity of 1.2 million tones of nickel-based composites, which located in Linyi City, Shandong province, is scheduled to finalize in 3 years. The first phase includes a 850 six-pass rolling process, a 850 cold acid line and a 1450 hot-rolling line. The second phase includes a 1450 five-pass rolling process, a reversible single-rolling process and two 1450 cold-acid rolling lines as well as a surface working process.

As a joint venture between Hongwang Group and Huayu International, Shandong operation has emerged based on the sufficient energy and advanced hot-rolled steel techniques from Shengyang Group and Huale Alloys. The Shandong project is announced to be the first stainless steel cold-rolling programme in north China, is a significant strategic layout in north China, which will push the stainless-steel north market ahead aggressively in the near future.
