[Ferro-Alloys.com]This week, domestic ferronickel market held at low state and represented a little change. Low-grade ferronickel 1.6-1.8 was mainly traded at 1820-1870yuan/t; mid-grade ferronickel 4-6 and 6-8 were mainly quoted at 760-780yuan/ni; high-grade ferronickel 10-15 was mainly exchanged at 740-760yuan/ni.

According to WBMS documents, from January to July 2015, global market had a nickel supply shortage of 16,000mt when it was surplus 241,800mt in 2014. But this huge decreasing in supply didn’t seem to improve the market mainly because it’s a long term process to reflect on the nickel prices. And it seems unlikely for ferronickel price to rebound significantly in the short term.
