[Ferro-alloys.com] According to the Italian steel producers association, Federacciai, the country’s crude steel production totaled 998,000 tons, an increase of 1.3% y-o-y. During first eight months of this year, the country’s crude steel production totaled 4.643 million tons, down 9.5% y-o-y.

Meanwhile, August Italy’s crude steel production was 1.444 million tons which was lower than in August 2011.
