Ukraine, one of the world's biggest producers of ferroalloy, saw exports in the first half fall 6.5% year on year to 434,980 mt, the state statistics service said Wednesday.
Revenue dropped to $491 million from $586 million, it said. Output and exports have been affected by the conflict between government forces and pro-Russian separatists in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions over the past year.
Ukraine exported 99,860 mt of ferroalloy to Turkey in the first half, 64,750 mt to the Netherlands, 59,890 mt to Russia, 29,210 mt to Poland, and 25,440 mt to South Korea.
In June alone Ukraine exported 57,860 mt of ferroalloys, down from 85,710 mt in June 2014.
Stakhanov Ferroalloy Plant, Ukraine's third-largest ferroalloy producer and located in territory not controlled by the government, has been idle since July 2014.
The plant can produce 200,000 mt of ferroalloy annually.
In 2014, Ukraine exported 977,530 mt of ferroalloy, up 40% year on year.
