[Ferro-Alloys.com]There was no big fluctuation in the price of imported manganese ore spot in China though underperformance of manganese alloys. Australian Mn46 lumps maintained at RMB25-26/mtu at ports in China. As for Mn48 sand ore, the price remained at RMB23.5-24/mtu in China. South African Mn38 lumps kept unchanged at RMB21.5-22.5/mtu while RMB23.5-24.5/mtu for Mn32%Fe20%. Meanwhile, Gabonese Mn 44lumps fixed at RMB23-24/mtu at ports. Brazilian Mn 44% lumps put steady at RMB 22-23/ mtu in China. Malaysian lump ore Mn>32% dipped to RMB20.5-21.5/mtu.In terms of new round shipment to China of oversea giant, BHP put Australian lump ore Mn45.5% Fe<5% maintained at USD3.2/mtu which was basically in line with last month, while Mn49% Fe<5% sand ore was in the same situation with lingering about USD3.0/mtu CIF, China. UMK put August manganese ore shipment to China which was basically in line with prior month with USD2.7/mtu for Mn37.5%Fe5% CIF, China. CML put Australian Mn46%Fe6%SI14%P0.05% level off USD3.30/mtu which basically kept in line with prior month Sight L/C and USD3.35/mtu Usance L/C ( CIF, China). Eramet Comilog put Gabonese Mn43% Fe<5% sand ore peg at USD2.7/mtu andUSD3.0/mtu (CIF, China) for Mn44-45% Fe<5% Gabonese lump ore.

As for supply, it is reported that China totally imported 1.327 million tons of manganese ore in June, showing an increasing of 24.17% compared to the prior month while a drop of 6.4% compared to the same period of last year. In the first half of this year, the imports of manganese ore in China totaled 7.6 million tons from 7.88 million tons in the same of last year. In fact, manganese participants can only sustain thin profit by mean of large quantities of sale this year. It is predicted that imports of manganese ore in China can remain at high level in the year, but price would likely to maintain tumble given stockpile, capital and sale pressure.
