[Ferro-Alloys.com] In recent period, Australian Mn46 lumps maintained at RMB25-26/mtu at ports in China. As for Mn48 sand ore, the price remained at RMB23.5-24.5/mtu in China. South African Mn38 lumps kept unchanged at RMB22-23/mtu while RMB23.5-24.5/mtu for Mn32%Fe20%. Meanwhile, Gabonese Mn 44lumps fixed at RMB23-24/mtu at ports. Brazilian Mn 44% lumps put steady at RMB 22-23/ mtu in China. Malaysian lump ore Mn>32% dipped to RMB21-21.5/mtu. Slack sale season for manganese alloy in China also brought about negative effect on ore spot.

Since no big improvement in the price of ore spot, it seems that Chinese ore traders tend to purchase small batches of ore instead of large volumes. Meanwhile, differing from Australian lumps and South African ore, sale for Gabonese Mn and Brazilian Mn suffered some pressure. It is said that Gabonese Mn 43% sand ore already dipped to RMB21.5-22/mtu. As for non-mainstream kinds of ore, sluggish demand also exerted subtle affect on ore market. In fact, many kinds of non-mainstream ores already gradually withdraw from the Chinese market given tremendous sale pressure.
