Corporacion Nacional del Cobre (CODELCO), Chile has recently announced the results of its production and sales during January to March in 2015. This announcement shows the production volume of molybdenum in pure element equivalent was 13.2 million lbs (6,000 tons), which represented a drastic decrease of 25% versus the year-earlier period (17.6 million lbs = 8,000 tons).

On the one hand, the sales volume in pure element equivalent was 15.4 million lbs (7,000 tons), which represented an increase of 17% versus the year-earlier period (13.2 million lbs = 6,000 tons).
