Medium carbon ferromanganese 78C1.5 lingered about RMB8,400-8,500/mt and RMB8,800-9,000/mt for low carbon ferromanganese 80C0.7.

In terms of May bidding price of manganese alloy from steel mills, there were about an average of RMB150-200/mt downturn for mills purchase on alloy, some even worse than that. It is said that HBIS put silicon manganese May bidding at RMB5,550/mt from RMB5,700/mt. Shasteel pushed silicon manganese 6517 down to RMB5,480/mt from RMB5,750/mt. Wuhan Iron and Steel Group lowered 6517 to RMB5,800/mt from RMB5,950/mt in April. Masteel decreased 6517 purchase to RMB5,650/mt from RMB5,850/mt, high carbon ferromanganese 74C7.5# was dipped to RMB5,500/mt

Liaoning Xinfu Steel put 6517 at RMB5,560/mt from 5,710/mt. Esteel settled silicon manganese May purchase price with RMB5,700/mt from RMB5,880/mt. Sanming steel put price slip to RMB5,610/mt. Xiangtan Steel lowered 6517 to RMB5,700/mt from RMB5,850/mt. Jiangxi PXSTEEL INDUSTERIAL CO.,LTD dropped purchase on 6517 to RMB5,650/mt from RMB5,800/mt. Guangxi Liuzhou Iron and Steel Group dipped 6517 to RMB5,680/mt.

In general, cheap spot supply for manganese alloy are becoming to contract as a result of lowing production.
