Australian Mn46 lumps dropped to RMB25.5-26.5/mtu at ports in China. As for Mn48 sand ore, the price declined to RMB24.5-25.5/mtu in China. South African Mn38 lumps edged down to RMB22.5-23.5/mtu while RMB27-28/mtu for Mn32%Fe20%. Meanwhile, Gabonese Mn 44lumps fell to RMB24-25/mtu at ports. Brazilian Mn 44% lumps pushed down to RMB 22.5-23.5/ mtu in China. Malayisan lump ore Mn>32% dipped to RMB21.5-22.5/mtu.

As for oversea future quotation to China, it is reported that oversea manganes ore giant, Eramet Comilog already unveiled May manganese ore shipment to China. Mn43% Fe<5% Gabonese Mn43% Fe<5% sand ore lowered to USD2.7/mtu, Mn44-45% Fe<5% Gabonese lump ore edged down to USD3.0/mtu (CIF, China). In addition, according to

data provided by Chinese Customs Statistics, China total imported 1.368 million tons of manganese ore in March on the basis of 0.94 million tons in Feb. 752.4 thousand tons makes South Africa still rank the first manganese ore supplier to China, more than that, the proportation for South African and Australian manganese to China occupied to 84% that of total manganese ore imports. A sharp downturn for South African and Australian ore brought about immense impact on other oversea miners.

In short, tumbling imported manganese ore spot market would still last some time amid poor performance of manganese alloy market.
