[Ferro-Alloys.com] This week, mainstream ex-work price of chinese electrolytic manganese flake edged down to RMB11,600-11,800/mt from RMB11,700-11,900/mt. Although export price still fixed at USD2,000-2,040/mt from parts of traders, some of them pointed out that it is in fact hard to make a deal above USD 2,000/mt.

As EMM manufacturers resumed production one by one, spot inventory increased, which lowered market price. Many traders took wait-and-see attitude and they did not want to purchase much.Whats’ more , devaluation of the Euro also brought about impact on Chinese EMM exports market. Apart from that, price of electrolytic manganese flake 99.7% contracted to USD2,010-2,065/mt from USD2,040-2,075/mt according to data from MB.

In short, since many manufacturers were in loss, it is predicted that downtrend of electrolytic manganese flake in the near future would be very small.
