[Ferro-alloys.com] CITIC Dameng Mining Industries Ltd (CITIC Dameng) issued its 2014 financial report recently. According to the report, CITIC Dameng sold 129,700 mt of electrolytic manganese metal (EMM) in 2014, up 20% year-on-year. Average sales price of EMM was HKD 13730／mt, basically flat to 2013. Gross profit rate of EMM was 15.6%, much higher than 7.6% of 2013.

In 2014, CITIC Dameng implemented strict cost control measures. It reduced material consumption as well as power consumption, and struggled to improve production efficiency. Under the dual roles of cost reduction and scale economy, its EMM sales increased by large.
