[Ferro-Alloys.com]It is reported that China totaled imported 1.506 milion tons of manganese ore in January of 2015, up12.47% compared to last month 1.3393 million tons, but down slightly compared to the same period of last year according to data from Chinese Customs Statistics.

In terms of manganese ore suppliers, South Africa still serves as the top supplier to China with 618.6 thousand tons in Jan, occupying 41.2% of the total imports. Australia ranks the second with 411.8 thousand tons from 390.1 thousan tons in Dec of 2014. Gabon places the third with 215.3 thousand tons on the basis of 170 thousand tons. Brazil put the fourth with 187.5 thousand tons from only 42.9 thousand tons in Dec. As for non-stream manganese ore, China imported 28.56 thousand tons of manganese ore from Cote d'lvoire and 17.8 thousand tons ore from Malaysia, others all less than 10,000 tons.
