[Ferro-Alloys.com]It is reported that RMB6,000/mt for HBIS and RMB6,040/mt for Shasteel Group further pushed down new round purchase on silicon manganese in Feb. In Ningxia province, silicon manganes 6517 stood at RMB5,600-5,650/mt while RMB5,700-5,750/mt in Inner Mongolia. In south, the mainsteream price of silicon manganese 6517 lingered about RMB5,900-5,950/mt, only few producers put price firm at RMB6,000-6,050/mt.

As for ferromanganese, the price of high carbon ferromanganese 65 was concentrated on RMB5,000-5,100/mt. Despite a slightly downturn on high carbon ferromanganese, it seems that the fluctuation in the price of ferromanganese was very small given somewhat tight supply in Shandong, Liaoning and Yunnan provinces.

All in all, shrinking demand and falling price hit traders’ purchase activity on manganese alloy, it is estimated that the chances of manganes alloys showed obvious tumble that would be very small.
