[Ferro-Alloys.com] Silicon manganese 6517 is currently pricing at RMB5,900-6,100/mt and RMB5,300-5,400/mt for 6014. High carbon ferromanganese 65 is now concentrating on 5,200-5,300/mt. Medium carbon ferromanganese 75C2.0 with low p containing is focusing on RMB8,100-8,200/mt while RMB8,400-8,500/mt for 78C2.0 as well as RMB8,800-9,000/mt for 78C1.5. Low carbon ferromanganese 80C0.7 is traded at around RMB9,300/mt, some as low as RMB9,100-9,200/mt.

As steel mills are preceeding to new round purchase on manganese alloy, it seems that the whole market of alloys fail to show dramatic fluctuation. In south, affected by high power price, operation rates for manganese alloys still kept at low level. In north, spot resources are comparatively ample thanks to cheap power and geographical advantage. Poor sale forced small alloys companies to further edge down price slightly.

In short, slow patyment return from steel mills aggravates manganese alloys capital pressure since the second half this year. What’s more, ongoing falling sale price makes alloys factories situation become worse. Given current steel mills performance, it is estimated that alloys would still likely to face a small downturn.
