[Ferro-Alloys.com] Japan’s steel product orders, including specialty steels ordered by domestic steel consuming sectors totaled 4.94 million tons in October, up slightly by 2.2% from a month ago and dropping by 2.9% year on year, according to statistic released by the Japan Iron and Steel Association (JISF).
Meanwhile, the steel product orders booked by the domestic construction sector totaled 1.08 million tons in October, down by 8%; that ordered by the domestic automotive sector was at 396,453 tons, decreasing by 1.8%, that ordered by the domestic shipbuilding sector totaled 366,453 tons, up by 17.6%; all compared to the figures in the same month of 2013.
