[Ferro-alloys.com]According to the investigation of www.ferro-alloys.com, the board of CITIC Dameng Mining Industries Ltd(CITIC Dameng) proposed that comprehensive cost of electrolytic manganese metal (EMM) should be reduced by RMB 1000/mt (USD161/mt) in 2014. The company strengthened management, intensified technical transformation measures, reduced energy consumption and lowered production cost. In the first half of 2014, phased achievement was made and EMM cost dropped by 8.72%.

In addition, the company strived for government subsidies and reduced loss. CITIC Dameng made full use of positive financial policy and accelerated replacement work between high-interest loan and low-interest loan, which lowered financial cost.
