[Ferro-Alloys.com] In recent period, imported manganese ore spot market in Chain remained at worse situation with flat demand. Given slowing consumption, it is said that manganes ore inventory at ports still kept at high level in China.

As for spot sale, Australian Mn46 lumps are currently focused on RMB33.5-34.5/mtu andRMB33-33.5/mtu for Mn48 sand ore. South African Mn38 lumps are pricing at RMB28.5-29.5/mtu while RMB32-33/mtu for Mn32%Fe20%. Gabonese Mn 45-46 lumps are now lingered about RMB31.5-32.5/mtu while RMB30-31/mtu for Brazilian Mn 44-45 lumps. In terms of manganes ore produced in China, given low grade and increasing supply for imported ore, it seems that price of ore produced in China already kept at low level for long time.

When it comes to supply ande demand relationship, it is reported that China totally imported 13.74 million tons manganese ore in the first ten month on the basis of 13.37 million tons for the same period of last year. From end users, it is reported that output of crude steel in China totaled 685 million tons, showing a slightly increasing by 2.1% y-o-y.

In general, excess manganese ore spot supply in China but slowing growth of crude steel would further aggravate sale pressure in the near future.
