American Vanadium (TSX: V.AVC, Stock Forum) advanced its reputation as the North American Master Sales agent for GILDEMEISTER energy solutions' CellCube vanadium flow energy systems, when the company announced today that its consulting engineering firm, Jacob Feinberg Katz & Michaeli Consulting Group (“JFK&M”) had received the Diamond Award for 2015 Engineering Excellence in the category of Energy.

According to the news release, the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) granted the award to JFK&M for the engineering analysis report they produced regarding the upcoming CellCube installation at the headquarters of the Manhattan Transportation Authority in New York.

Company president and CEO, Bill Radvak, commented on the acheivement, “We are delighted to announce the award garnered by JFK&M for their tremendous engineering work on this landmark installation in New York City.”

He then illustrated, “This project, with the support of the New York State Energy Research and Development Agency (NYSERDA), is an amazing collaboration of experts that are determining how to deliver an energy storage solution to a very unique urban environment.”

And added, “As the pace of adoption of energy storage continues to gather momentum, a key differentiator for American Vanadium is the ability to offer innovative customized solutions which are of the highest quality and have been certified to UL standards.”

Ed Feinberg, partner at JFK&M, also stated, “JFK&M is so pleased to be involved in this strategic and innovative CellCube energy storage system project, which will provide benefits to American Vanadium, Metropolitan New York, the utilities and the engineering industry as a whole.”

Then he summed up, “It is exciting to be part of an effort aimed at improving the use of energy and participating in the future of energy storage.”

Winners of the Diamond Award for New York state projects are automatically in contention for the Empire Award. The Manhattan installation has also been chosen to represent the American Council of Engineering Companies of New York at the national competition held by the ACEC.

American Vanadium was in the news recently when the Vancouver-based company announced a teaming agreement with Viridity six days ago.

Currently there are 60.1m outstanding shares with a market cap of $19.2 million.
