Brazil’s manganese ore exports increased year-on-year in September 2014, while nickel continued to be negatively affected by the absence of matte shipments, according to figures from the country’s trade ministry.

Manganese ore Brazilian manganese ore exports grew 22.2% year-on-year in September, reaching 259,772 tonnes, according to the figures from the ministry. Major destinations were France (66,000 tonnes) and Norway (50,000 tonnes). Neither country imported the ore from Brazil a year earlier.
