[Ferro-alloys.com]Mr Jiao Shuang, general manager of Ningxia Tianyuan Manganese Industry Co.,LTD (Tianyuan Manganese) , disclosed recently the company was faced with many problems including manganese ore backlog, financing difficulty and power supply since October 2013. They were forced to reduce production. Local government tried to coordinate in time and did a lot of help.

From October 2013 to June 2014, the 300,000 mt EMM project of Tianyuan Manganese was not put into production as expected because of power supply. Much raw ore was overstocked and more than RMB 2 billion (USD0.32 billion) of working capital could not be recycled in time. There was much difficulty in financing. After power shortage was solved, new EMM project had to be delayed because electricity price increased much.
