（20 Sep 2014）The Chrome ore e-auction of Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) conducted by MSTC is expected to be delayed this month. For the last several months the e-auction has been held on the third week of a month. However, OMC is yet to notify the date of the auction for this month.

However, according to sources, the e-auction for the month of September is expected to be held in the last week or first week of the next month. OMC may offer about 60,000 MT of Chrome ore in this round of auction.

The delay in auction process is mainly due to change of Chairman and Managing Director. Last month the Odisha government posted Pradipta Mohapatra as the Chairman and SN Girish as the Managing Director of the state owned company. Earlier Mr. Saswat Mishra was in charge of both the posts.

Due to this reshuffle the e-auction file at OMC is yet to be signed at the highest level.
