[Ferro-Alloys.com] As Chinese steel makers released new round purchase price, it seems that movement for manganese alloy for September became clearer.

As for market price, silicon manganese 6517 is currently pricing at RMB6,300-6,400/mt and RMB5,600-5,700/mt for 6014. High carbon ferromanganese 65 is now concentrating on 5,600-5,700/mt. Medium carbon ferromanganese 75C2.0 with low p containing is focusing on RMB8,100-8,200/mt while RMB8,400-8,500/mt for 78C2.0 as well as RMB8,800-9,000/mt for 78C1.5. Low carbon ferromanganese 80C0.7 is traded at RMB9,900-10,100/mt.

As for steel mills tender price on manganese alloys, it is reported that Hebei Iron and steel pushed silicon manganese down to RMB6,550/mt from RMB6,620/mt, while high carbon ferromanganese 65 was lowerd to RMB5,550/mt from RMB5,570/mt in August. Meanwhile, the mill put medium carbon ferromanganese unchanged on the basis of August with RMB8,200/mt for 78C2.0 and 8,300 for 78C1.5. Low carbon ferromanganese 84C0.4 was dropped to RMB9,700/mt from RMB9,800/mt while RMB 8,800 for 84C0.7.Meanwhile, Wuhan Iron and Steel Group put silicon manganese drop to RMB6,950/mt from RMB7,000/mt, high carbon ferromanganese 75 was decreased to RMB6,600/mt from RMB6,620/mt. Masteel edged silicon manganese 6517 down to RMB6,800/mt from RMB6,850/mt, medium carbon ferromanganese was dropped to RMB8,800/mt from RMB8,890/mt. Shaosteel lowered 6517 to RMB6,790/mt from RMB6,850/mt in August. CITIC Pacific Special Steel Holdings put 6517 fix at RMB6,580/mt.

As improved operation for manganese alloy, it is estimated that the sale prices for alloys would face another downturn later.
