[Ferro-Alloys.com] In End August, Chinese calcium carbide market kept stable with capability utilization rate at about 70%, which slightly rose up compared with that in July. The raw materials market ran stable and didn’t sustain the production cost. Meanwhile, the demand from the downstaim industries kept weak, leading to the inactive transaction for calcium carbide.

The ex-work price for calcium carbide (Grade I) was as follows, RMB 2600-2650/mt in Northwest China and North China; RMB2700-2750/mt in Northeast China and RMB2550-2600/mt in Ningxia and Inner Mongolia.
