[Ferro-Alloys.com] According to the latest Customs statistic, China exported 66,317 tons of ferroalloys in July 2014, violently up by 101.86% Y-O-Y. Meanwhile, China imported 161,096 tons of ferroalloys in July, up by 23.8% Y-O-Y.
In July, the ferroalloy export volume rebounded mainly owing to ferrosilicon. With government striking smuggles, more and more ferrosilicon was shipped via legal channels, which would bring a favorable turn for Chinese ferrosilicon exporters if the situation could be continued.
In Jan-Jul of 2014, China totally exported 316,153 tons of ferroalloys and imported 1,472,490 tons of ferroalloys, respectively dropping by 21.2% and up by 37.5%.
Note: In the report, the commonly ferroalloys include the products with HS code from 72021100 to 72029999, and the silicon metal with HS code 28046900 was not included.
